we can supply amorphous Boron Powder for your application It is also called Amorphous Boron powder, which is in brown to grey/black color.
It can be combusted at 700 in air. Below the temperature, it don't react with almost all metal,
metal oxide and non-metal oxide.
Specific gravity : 2.33 -2.45
When Boron powder and non-oxygen acid e.g. HF, HCl,etc. are in stable condistion at
temperature of boiling point. If temperature is lower than 500, it don't react with concentrated
alkali or melting Sodium Hydroxide.
Application:
1. It can be used as safety material in electron power industry. It acts as materials for Boron
Steel production which is applied to atomic reactor.
2. In metallurgy industry, Boron powder can be smelted with metal to form metal boride at high
smelting temperature. Due to its good phyiscal character, such metal boride can take place
of preciouse and scared metal, also cost can be saved.
3. In semiconductor and electric industry, after being carbonized at 2300, Boron powder can
be used as cathode of ignition core in ignitron. It is also raw material of making Lanthanum
Boride.
4. In chemical industry, it acts as an important material for making Boron Halide with high purity.
